Ingredients:
- 2 Bottles Flattened Wheat Beer (used Blue Moon's Spring Ale)
- 1/3 C Honey
- 1 t Jamaican Allspice
- 2 Cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1 t Kosher Salt
- 2 T Brown Sugar
Instructions:
- Mix ingredients together in a saucepan
- Bring to a boil and then simmer uncovered and reduce for 15 minutes
- Let cool to room temperature and place in refrigerator for a couple hours
- Put shrimp on skewers and pour marinade over shrimp and marinade for a couple hours in the refrigerator
- Grill shrimp over medium high heat, flipping after a couple minutes
- When shrimp are pink throughout, take off grill and serve
Results:
Goal here was not to create an overpowering marinade, leaving plenty of the flavor of the shrimp. The shrimp came out perfect, with a nice light flavor from the marinade. This recipe is a keeper and will do it many more times in the future.
